Nominating for Practitioners
Can be individuals, groups, or institutions.
The entry is not limited to formal groups that have legal documents to prove their work. The Award Committee will rely on well-reputed nominators to suggest serious candidates and wants to ensure the participation of informal groups that have made important contributions to the management of the commons. Go to Targets and Criteria and Award Process for more info.
All nominators must submit:
- Nomination letter (Please find it here)
- Proof of the existence of the community, individual or group (preferably a legal document which acknowledges the existence of the practitioner)
- Two recommendation letters by academics, local communities or local, regional, national or international governmental or non-governmental organizations, which are external to the nominated practitioner and which have worked with them in areas relevant to the Award
